Services
The Property Specialty's global resources focus on local geographic exposure issues and have expertise in numerous classes of business such as industrial risk, commercial risk, excess & surplus lines and residential exposures. Our technical expertise includes benchmarking and peer group analysis, structuring and pricing, natural and terror modeling variance analysis, portfolio management, tool development, integration of rating agency analysis and knowledge of market underwriting and capacity. Our advisory services include publications of state-of-the-market reports and industry briefings, interpretation of catastrophe modeling, participation in industry seminars and development of new analytical tools and other products.

For public sector issues, dedicated specialists within the Property Specialty structure and develop reinsurance programs that meet with governmental and public policy objectives and are blended with other claims-paying sources. They understand and can quantify the impact that residual market entities can have on insurers' risk profiles, particularly in instances where risk sharing can be costly due to the size, capital structure and operational plan of the governmental pool or entity.

ROLePlay, our global property catastrophe database of financial and exposure information, modeling output and reinsurance structures and transaction statistics, helps evaluate current program structure and proposed structures by comparing risk measures. ROLePlay aids in peer group comparisons, loss information, benchmark pricing and other customized information. This tool provides insight into reinsurers' pricing tendencies, allows for transparency into reinsurers' quotations for per risk and catastrophe business and supports the design of optimal program structures.

Our clients also benefit from our knowledge of all the major catastrophe software vendors' natural hazard models, which we operate through a technology infrastructure that spans the globe.
The enormous volume of property transactions in which we participate enhances our analytical capabilities and provides a uniquely rich view of current market conditions. We also utilize the major vendors' terrorism models to help clients explore the possibilities of terror loss using a judgment-based approach that goes beyond purely deterministic modeling and minimizes the issues associated with predicting human behavior.
