Alternative Risk Transfer Specialty Practice

The Alternative Risk Transfer (ART) Specialty Practice helps facilitate flexible terms and pricing structures for both new and established self-insured entities that have opted out of the traditional market. We focus on group and association captives, risk retention groups, governmental pools, group self-insurance pools, joint purchasing authorities/joint underwriting authorities and mutuals.

The Alternative Risk Specialty Practice works with self-insured clients to understand their issues, appreciate their unique goals and needs, deliver a greater flow of information and knowledge and continue developing specialized tools to address increasingly complicated issues.

To help clients achieve their financial and risk appetite objectives, we evaluate their established structures and provide insights and reports on market conditions, new legislation, captive domiciles and general market activity. We also provide technical expertise and support.

In addition, the Alternative Risk Transfer Specialty assists clients in reviewing the appropriate retention structures and limits transferred through the analysis of various catastrophe models.
